Good morning everyone, I had great fun looking at all your snowy pictures yesterday. And today I will be filming a video clip showing my favourite toy-ready for Friday ! Have you picked yours already?

Maths- 75 minutes
Today we are looking at calculating with the data in charts and graphs, but keeping with discrete data- so bar charts today.

Task 1– Read the text – I’ve included a powerpoint with me reading it if you want to have another listen first.
Challenge- record yourself (and any helpers who want to join in) reading this scene.
Task 2– Tell me what you have learnt about the Fairy Kingdom so far- who are the characters? What do we know about them? What can we infer about them?
Task 3– We’re going to try and write a human poem about the fairy forest.
If each person adds 1 line to the poem we should have a great poem.
The different lines don’t need to rhyme with each other, but you can include a rhyme within your line if you want to.
Using the description you came up with yesterday write 1 line about the fairy forest.
I’ll add it to our new wow work page later on today.

Today we are looking at reversible and irreversible changes and dissolving.
You will need to do a test on some dissolving after the zoom when I will show you what you need to do, so you will need

- either some sugar or some salt

That Hermia and Lysander are not the only ones that have problems, Titania and Oberon are having problems. Puck, fairies, Titania, Oberon. We infer that they might break up their relationship by fighting.

Oberon and Titana are the king and queen of the fairy kingdom, and they are fighting over a changing boy. Puck and a fairy are also in the text.
This forest was not one of those normal forests it was a magical forest filled with king and queen fairy’s. The forest was a beautiful forest it’s like it is made out of gold. In that forest there was a fairy called Puck the kings servant. The king Oberon and queen Titana had a fight over a changeling boy in the fairy kingdom.

The water is a solve (the most important solvent) and the sugar is a solid.
The sugar is soluble because when I put some in the water and mixed it,the sugar dissolved very quickly. This made a solution of both sugar and water.
It is irreversible.

But it is reversible, if you boil the water and then have something to catch it with, you can separate the water from the sugar again.
Try leaving a saucer out with some sugar in water solution, the water will evaporate and the sugar crystals will be left behind on the saucer.

Explain what happened during the dissolving activity
Water has different particles wich make them a different type of water like salt water which gives life to the ocean and they have different purposes like giving plants their nutriens. When a certain substance is put in a glass of water it is still there but smaller. When a change in tempreture happens it can have a dramatic effect either slowing the dissolving prosses when it is cold or speeding
it up when it is hot.
Great work Owen, you’re right heating up a solvent can speed up the dissolving process and cooling it will slow it down.
Not all metals are good conductors, aluminium is not good for example.
