Pre-school Home Learning Wednesday 20th January

Good morning everyone,

Welcome to Wednesday and all the fun filled activities on offer to you today! Do you remember yesterday that we asked if you could remember the days of the week song? Well Mrs Webb has recorded it for you to enjoy and sing along with too!

Home Learning

Listening

Mrs Webb is reading a story called Peace at Last. It is all about Mr Bear who is very tired but guess what? Everything around him is very noisy. In the story there is lots of sounds for you to make. One of the sounds is making the noise of an airplane. Use your listening ears to listen to the story and know when you need to make the different sounds.

Maths

Today Mrs Crane is going to start with some number counting.  Make sure you have have your listening ears on to listen to the marbles being dropped into the pot.

Then one of the three little pigs is helping with prepositions.  These are words that describe where something is in relation to something else. Where is the pig?

Physical

Mrs O’Hagan has got a physical activity today. For this you will need some socks. Mrs O’Hagan will tell you what you need to do in the video.

Speech and Language

Here is a picture of a farm. What we would like you to do is talk about what you can see in the picture. We would really like it if you can use a full sentence such as “I can see a…….”. Grown ups if your child is struggling with saying a full sentence then encourage them just to label what they can see using one word.

Story Time

Mrs Crane is reading a lovely story all about pets. Have you got any pets at home? I wonder if your pets are like the one in the story.

Well done everybody. It has been another brilliant day of fun activities and you are all working so hard at home! We have loved seeing your photos and videos on Tapestry. Keep them coming!

Well Done!
