Here are today’s activities…
English – Reading
Read the text ‘Annie and the Pirate King’ by Jenny Feely.
The Pirate King ran over to Annie. “You are the bravest sea-monster-fighter in the whole wide world” he said. “Why don’t you stay on my ship and sail the seas with us?”.
“No thanks” said Annie. “I want to go home now”.
So the pirates sailed back to town. They left the box and they left the feather.. And they left a little girl called Annie.
What do you think Annie did next and why?
Write your response in full sentences.
English – Writing
“Why don’t you stay on my ship and sail the seas with us?”.
What would you do? Sail the seas or go home?
Answer in full sentences and give me reasons why for your decision.
Remember to use conjunctions in your writing.

Maths – Basic Skills
Complete the multiplication number sentences.
Maths – Tasks
Complete the following tasks about shape.
Handwriting
Warm up: Wiggle your fingers up high, down low, to the side and in front of you.
Stretch your fingers out like fireworks nine times.
Can you write the following Year 2 Common Exception Words joined up at least six times? Remember to leave a finger space.

Tick your neatest formation and be proud of your handwriting.

I think Annie, will go home to her parents because she may be very frightened.

I would go home, because I would feel much safer and my parents would be worried.

Annie went back home. She put the beautiful feather in the special box and found a secret place to hide it.
I would sail the seas , so i can have lots of adventures . I would visit lots of places that i can explore and try and find some treasure.
