RE – Thursday 24th June
Today we are learning about the Four Noble Truths and why they are important to Buddhists.
Watch this short video to find out about them:
What are the Four Noble Truths?
Think about: Have there been times when you have wanted things which you don’t need. Did you always get them? What reasons were given? How did you feel?
Imagine that you had a number on your table at school. If you have number 1 they will have an extra 5 minutes play, Number 2 an extra 7 minutes play, Number 3, an extra 10 minutes play and Number 4 no minutes play.
Is this fair? How does it feel to have more or less than others?
- Buddha would say that if we always want what other people have, we will never be happy.
- We should always be happy with what we have even if you got no prize!
- You should always think about what other things you have and how lucky you are
- If all people did this the world would be happy.
Write about – What advice do you think Buddha might have for us today?
Buddhas advice to me would be no matter what they do give back even if theyr
buddhas advice is that no matter what they do he’ll forgive them and make them so they know the importance of life and love
