Wednesday 9th December – Year 5

English

Read through the new text-  vocab is on the second slide.  Then there are some questions.

Look at the picture of the ball.

Create a list of items, things you can see, hear or smell at the ball.

Now imagine we are writing a newspaper report- is the party still happening?  No it’s in the past tense.

Write a description of the ball from the point of view of a reporter who was at the ball-  but is writing afterwards.

Maths

Watch the video then try this.

Geography-  continue with your persuasive text about Northampton.   What tourist attractions do we have here?   What historical events have occurred here that people might want to come and find out about?  Remember to be persuasive-  rhetorical questions,  imperative verbs,  adjectives.
