    What happens when u don’t have eghonth conters is u have to exchange its exzaclly the same as normal non decimals take away

    1 ten can be exchanged into 10 ones
    One 1can be exchanged for 10 tenths
    One tenth can be exchanged for 10 hundredths

      For number 3, they want you to compare the place value chart to the column method. They want you to see what is the same and how the use of the place value counters/table supports understanding of the column method.

      Look at the other 3. You are in the right area but double-check your working out.

    1)(A)14.83-12.12= (2.71) (b)14.83-12.14=(2.69) (c)14.83-12.92=(1.91) (d)14.83-12.94=(1.89)
    2)(a)1 ten can be exchanged for 1 ones (b)1 ones can be exchanged for 10 tenths (c)1 tenth can be exchanged for 10 hundredths.

    i didnt do that much because i was sorting out how i should lay this out and because i forgot how i could do some homework so its the blog.

      Good work Kristers and all correct.

      In terms of your work, do it in a way that suits you. You could work things out on paper and type them up onto the blog. You could also take photos of and email any work to the Year Five email address.
