Good morning Year 2!
You’re past the middle of the week already, and you are doing great! Keep it up!
Remember we have a zoom register at 10.20am every morning. It would be great if you could bring something to write on with you to today’s zoom, it might help you with Miss Battams’ Brain Buster!
It is important you log in to this promptly so that we can say good morning to each other, and give you some instructions for today’s learning. A link for this has been sent to the parent email you have registered at school. If you need a new link please email us and we can send this to you.
Here is your home learning for today. All the plans and resources you need to complete the learning are attached. Please remember to comment on the blog when you have completed your tasks, and to email us your completed work so we can see what you have been doing and support you if needed. Work can be emailed via your pupil email address (details were issued last term) or via a parents email address to yeartwo@lingsprimary.org.uk.

Here is your English task for today. Today is a writing task only but you may need the texts you read on Tuesday and Wednesday to help you find the information you need.

Phonics.
Here is today’s phonics learning. It is slightly different. Can you sort the words out into the boxes that have the correct spelling of the ai sound in them.

Watch the video, complete the tasks explained and then solve the following problems.
P.E
Today, you should complete some form of exercise. You may wish to access the Jasmine PE website that follows the Real PE learning that we do in school. All children were sent home details by letter with their individual logins before Christmas.

If you do not have access to this site, you could create your own game which gets you moving around and keeping fit.
Reading.
We have an online log in which will link to some ebooks that follow our reading scheme in school. These books will allow your child to practice their phonics skills. It is a free resource.

This will give you the option to choose a book recommended for your age or you can choose a book from the colour you read at school.
These are all free to read and it would be great if you could read one to someone at home.
