Spelling – know these words!

The following lists of words are very important in your development as writers. The top list are high frequency words from Year 3 and 4, whilst the second list are the high frequency words that you will encounter in Years 5 and 6. High frequency simply means that you read and use these words a lot. Therefore, it is a good idea to know them and be able to spell them confidently.

Please work on these words at home. If you could work on them with a family member then that would be a great help. You could practise a few each night. Start with the Year 3 and 4 words and get to know them first. When you are ready, start working through the Year 5 and 6 words.
