Year 5 Spellings

This week we have looked at adjectives ending in either tious (which come from a noun) or cious (which don’t)

Practise these words-  especially conscious (it’s a year 5/ 6 spelling word)

Challenge-  see if you can put them into a sentence correctly!

This hero is very ambitious and cautious as well as conscious. This cake is precious to me as it is delicious though I think this is suspicious. In this fictitious book this villain is malicious and vicious so he spread an infectious disease but the hero made it nutritious

I’m glad you wrote that Kristers!

Don’t forget that it’s I’m (capital I and an apostrophe to replace the “a” of am).

And Kristers has a capital letter as it’s a proper noun.

Well done Maisie. Don’t forget that suspicious would not have a capital in this sentence. This is because it is used as an adjective to describe Thunderbird but is not part of its actual name.
