Can you complete the following acrostic poem for the word chocolate:

Maths

Following on from yesterday when you began to look at symmetry, I’d like you to watch this lesson:

https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-identify-lines-of-symmetry-in-a-pattern

Like yesterday, I’d like you to blog and tell me that you have watched it and post at least 2 things that you have learnt.

For those of you who would like some more symmetry challenges – here you go!

Challenge 1

Challenge 2

Challenge 3

Challenge 4

Science

Watch the following lesson on the circulatory system:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zdcgp4j

Watch all of the clips, including the re-cap one and then complete the 2 activities.

Some fun

I know that lots of you told me that you love a wordsearch, so here is a chocolate themed one!

Have a great day.

      Task 2 – double check 1) and 5)

I’m not sure what you don’t understand about tasks 3 and 4??
Task 3 – you have to match the bullet pointed words at the beginning with the meanings below. Fill in the gaps.
Task 4 – fill in the gaps using the bullet pointed words from task 3.

    maths challenge 2
Jake is right at the begging because a rectangle does have one line of symmetry but if you change the way of it , it wont have a line of symmetry.

    maths challenge 3
sometimes , because a square has a four line of symmetry but a rectangle don’t.

    maths challenge 4
you can only do two and the two are a square and a rectangle.

      Hi Jessica,

      Great effort in Maths today!

Challenge 2 – Firstly, so all triangles have 1 line of symmetry? If you just rotate a shape, will the lines of symmetry change?

      Challenge 3 – great answer!

Challenge 4 – Can you make a rectangle using the original red lines? Are there any other irregular shapes that you could possible make?

I’ ve learnt that in a line of symmetry the line has to be in the exactly in the middle. Each side has to be the same.

      3) Why did you write sometimes?
