Today you are going to be a teacher and mark your own work.

Using the checklist below, read back your writing. Have you included everything?

Using a different coloured pen or pencil, edit your work to include anything that is missing. This is what we do in class using our purple pens.

Remember editing is to make your work go from being good to amazing. It doesn’t mean you ‘got things wrong’ but that it helps you remember the details for next time.

Tick your neatest formation and be proud of your handwriting.

R.E:

Read the text below.

Jesus chose friends to help him. These men were called his disciples and they spent time with him. They listened to him and followed him. They became friends and enjoyed a close friendship. Jesus taught and led His disciples just like a teacher in a school does with the children they work with. Jesus was preparing them for when he would leave Earth and they would continue his work. Jesus commanded his disciples to make more disciples. Jesus wanted them to teach and lead others and tell them about God. He led them so that they could follow his example.

What qualities might you want in a new friend?

Why?

Write your response in full sentences.

PSHE/E-Safety:

With an adult in your home, discuss what you would do if you saw this.

Story:

Where is your favourite place to read a story? Your bed? Sofa? Garden?

Find your favourite place and read a story.

Enjoy your activities and please send us pictures and comments to keep us updated!

You can send questions or pictures of your work to our year group email address: yeartwo@lingsprimary.org.uk.

Have a lovely weekend!

Miss Duncan and Miss Battams.

I know it’s somebody’s birthday and there are 13 candles that spell happy Birthday.
I infer that the 13 candles represent how old they are.

“I know that someone is having a birthday. I infer someone is 11.”

    Maths
Elliot enjoyed today’s maths. He matched the names to the shapes and correctly labelled all of them as either 2D or 3D. He found lots of examples of the shapes at home and was able to tell me some properties when I asked him how he knew it was that shape.
Cone – “It has a circle and a point”
Rectangle – “it has two long sides and two short sides”
Triangle – ” it has three sides and three vertices”
We discussed the properties of a cylinder together.
