Thursday 26th Year 5

Morning year 5!  We are both missing you all lots and lots.   Here are your tasks for today, I can’t wait to see what you manage to achieve.

English- we are going to send some letters to a local old people’s home; they are not allowed any visitors at the moment so we would like to cheer them up with some letters.   Write your letter (remember about how to lay out letters, and remember to ask them some questions- they might like to answer your letter and write back to you!) and send it to the address below.  Put a photo of your letter on here so we can see your writing too!

Maths-  If you don’t have straws, you could try this with strips of paper, or blades of grass instead.

Music- In Music we have been listening to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a prayer”, well Jon Bon Jovi (the lead singer) has a challenge for us. He’s created a verse and a chorus for a new song, about what is happening all around us at the moment. Your challenge is to write the rest of the song. Add your verses on to the blog and I’ll forward them to him!

Remember to send a self addressed envelope with your letter if you would like a reply 🙂

    Good morning Mrs Millard,
    Maths
With my four long strips I cut them all in half and then arrange them all into equally sized squares.
