Will’s Diary – Day 1

There were some great diary entries today. Earlier, we were introduced to Will, a football-mad boy from a sleepy village in the countryside of Norfolk. Our task was to write an entry to his diary which recounted his goal in the football match.

The pleasing thing from many of the entries today was the style in which they were written. They sounded like the thoughts of a young lad with not a care in the world who just wanted to play football with his mates. There is some work to do on spelling and grammar, and we will learn more about diary writing soon, but this is a pleasing start.
