    Why did the team need to make alterations to Nomad before taking it to Antarctica? To test it so it doesn’t break.
    Why do you think the team call ordinary rocks “meteor-wrongs” (line 17)? Because its not a meteor it is an ordinary rock.
    How do you think the author felt when Nomad found its first meteorite in Antarctica? How can you tell? Happy and excited because they used an exclamation marks.
    The word “nomad” means a person who travels from place to place and has no permanent home. Why do you think the team chose to call their robot “Nomad”? Because it is travelling different places and finding out things.
    The author describes Nomad as a “hero” (line 30). Do you agree that it is a hero? Yes because it can tell us more about space.

    1. They need it to be prepared for a new environment.
    2. Nomad can tell better then our eyes if a rock is a meteorite or an ordinary rock Thats why they call then meteorite wrongs
    3. They were really excited and the author put a ! mark when Nomad found a meteorite.
    4. He was designed to explore remote places and go to place to place.
    5. I do agree with this because they could research the rocks find about outer space.

    English reading

    1.They had to make alterations as Antarctica would be really cold and icy.

    2. Its called a meteor- wrong as its an ordinary rock.

    3. He felt so happy as he found a meteorite which scientists could study the rock for clues about outer space.

    4. The robot is called nomad because it travels everywhere.

    5. Nomad is a hero because he found a meteorite and he can go where humans cannot

    1. Why did the team need to make alterations to Nomad before taking it to Antarctica?

    The team need to make alterations to Nomad because Antarctica was different to a desert.

    2. Why do you think the team call ordinary rocks “meteor-wrongs” (line 17)?
    The reason that there team calls ordinary rocks Meteor-Wrongs was because meteor is like space rock and wrongs can mean not a something which makes ‘not a meteor/space rock.

    3. How do you think the author felt when Nomad found its first meteorite in Antarctica? How can you tell?
    The Author felt proud, because with a strong built robot survived in Antarctica!

    4. The word “nomad” means a person who travels from place to place and has no
    permanent home. Why do you think the team chose to call their robot “Nomad”?
    The reason as being called Nomad was because it is a robot that was designed to explore, not to live as humans.

    5. The author describes Nomad as a “hero” (line 30). Do you agree that it is a hero?
    As my opinion for Nomad, it was hero because the robot managed to find space rocks which many NASA scientist wanted to discover and have a lot of detail about space and Nomad deserve to be a hero.

    1. So Nomad can move on the ice without slipping
    2. because it could be a meteor or just a ordinary rock so they call it that
    3. crazy/insane happy I know that because the author says Nomad is a hero and there’s a bunch of exclamation marks
    4. because Nomad is a robot not real person and plus Nomad is a travel robot
    5. yes I agree because Nomad found them out

    2. To say they it is not a meteorite it is a normal rock.
    3. Interstate because he has written about it.
    4. Because it travels from 1 place to anouther.

    1) They did it so that Nomad (great name) doesn’t fall apart, communicates and doesn’t take damage in severe weather conditions.
    2) I think that they do this because they are not meteors so they are Meteor wrongs.
    3) He felt amazed because of the ! put at the end of that sentence and because at first he only found some ordinary rocks.
    4) They chose this because he would travel from place to place like a Nomad and he doesn’t really have a home and it sounds well.
    5) YES! HE FOUND A METEOR!

    The answers are… (your wording might be slightly different!)

    1. They needed the computers and sensors to be warm in Antarctica and it needed to move on ice without slipping so studs were added.
    2. To make clear that they are not meteors. Meteorite sounds like “meteor-rite”. It makes sense to call one that isn’t a meteorite to be called a meteor-wrong.
    3. The use of an exclamation mark shows that the author was excited – “Nomad had found a meteorite!”
    4. A nomad travels from place to place, just like the robot which has been used in South America and Antarctica.
    5. Yes, because it had found a meteorite. Humans would not have achieved this without the robot.

    1. As the conditions weren’t right at the time
    2. As it is a ordinary rock nothing special
    3. Speechless as he took it strait to the USA to exam
    4. As it explores and because it is a robot it doesn’t need a home.
    5. Yes as I love space and with this progress we can discover more about it.
