    so then the hurricanes can get new air
    i dont get number three
    because there’s a lot onamatopeias

    Because its persuading you to know how dangerous hurricanes are

    2. Why don’t hurricanes form over cold oceans?
    Because cold water won’t attract the moist and the hurricane will not be made.

    3. Who do you think this text is aimed at? How can you tell?
    At people who are interested about hurricanes to they can understand and get convinced.

    4. Why do you think the author uses a lot of exclamation marks in this text?
    To make you think about things that can worry you and make you more aware.

    5. The author compares the size of Typhoon Tip to the size of the United States (lines 26-27). Why do you think they did this?
    Because the United States is a large country about 4000km in diameter so it makes you very worried and entertained that it is a serious matter.

    Because in the sea, cold water covers over 50% of our seas and cold water will damage the hurricane but on land, heat is very affective.

    Who do you think this text is aimed at? How can you tell? Hurricane chasers because its come from Scientists
    Why do you think the author uses a lot of exclamation marks in this text? Hurricanes are huge,loud,dangerous and scary.

    Why do you think hurricanes are more dangerous on land than they are out at sea? On land people can die and people’s homes will be lost. And buildings will collapse. It will do more damage.

    3 I think the text is aimed at year 5 and 6
    4 so it’s like he’s shouting it
    5 to tell you how big it is
    6 to inform and entertain
    7 because they can hurt people and destroy buildings

    1. To emphasise it.
    2. Hurricanes form over warm ocean waters near the equator. The warm, moist air above the ocean rises causing the air around it to be sucked in.
    3. Maybe to tell us about them and so we know how dangerous they are and what we have to look out for.
    4. To say how big they are.
    5. To tell us when one last happened.
    6. A. to persuade and inform.
    7. Because they have not a lot to destroy and hurt someone or thing then on land.

    It is aimed at a younger person so they can find out about hurricanes

    They are trying to make exiting

    It is the size of half the united states

    English Comprehension

    1. They put super in italics so it sounds more super.

    2.Hurricanes don’t form over cold ocens because they from over warm ocens near the equator not cold ocens.

    3. I dont know who this text is aimed at.

    4. I think the author used exclamation marks so it sounds more powerful.

    5. He compeard Typhoon to the size of the United States because it is so gigantic that the author need to compear it to the United States.

    6. B because the information might entertain.

    7. They are more dangerous in land because people are on land but out at sea there is not a lot of people

    1) To emphesize the size and power
    2) When they move over cold water or over land and lose touch with the hot water that powers them, these storms weaken and break apart.
    3) Ks2 9-12. People who don’t know much about Hurricanes
    4) I think thst because he wants to make it kind of exciting
    5) They did that to show how BIG it was

    1.The word super is written in etelics because they want the word super to stand out for example the hurricane was SUPER fast .
    2.The hurricane forms the ocean to be super cold 🥶 because when the wind forms the hurricane it spins super fast and then the ocean 🌊 gets super cold .
    3.I think this text is aimed at hurricanes because most of the questions are aimed at hurricanes and the text mentioned it a lot and said facts about it.
    4.I think they use it a lot because u could say a lot u WILL DIE FROM IT! So that why.
    I don’t understand the 5 questions I’ll go back to it.
    6.in my opinion they did prettty well on passwading me to read the text so I would give the text a 9/10 if it had some coulor I would give it a 10 out of 10 but they passwaded me pretty well I would say.
    7.hurricanes are more dangerous on land because no one essential from boats and fish live out on the unless ur on a dock or it could make the sea go on land but on land ppl live here in houses in skyscrapers 🏙 and it could fall and in a blink of an eye ur Dead ☠️ and much more ppl live on land than in they see and if a hurricane went on the m1 they it would case a lot of deaths and if it bumped into a building or some sort and it fell where dead who ever stranded underneath it so if u where underground then ur safe I would say.

    1. To show that it has very, very powerful winds.
    2. As there is not enough warm water to form the hurricane
    3. Hurricanes, as they mention facts or lots of facts about hurricanes.
    4. To make a lot of statement.
    5. To make it easy to compare.
    6. I would say b as it informs what hurricanes are and entertains people with surprising facts.
    7. As there is nothing to destroy out at sea but there is stuff to break on land.

      Well done Alex.

      For question 1, try to explain why the writer wants the word “super” to stand out. It is to show how strong the winds were!

      For question 3, think about who would find this text useful. Is it aimed at young or old people? What about people who know little about hurricanes or people who know lots?
