PSHE – Thursday 21st January

In this session you will think about:

  • Your dream job when you’re older.
  • Why you want it.
  • The steps you need to get there.

By watching the clip below, read the book: ‘When I Grow Up’ by  P.K. Hallinan. Choose your their three favourite jobs or the jobs you think might be the most interesting.

Now choose your favourite job. You are going to research your chosen job. If you are unable to research your chosen job, then you can still think about the following points and write down what you think.

Find out about and present the following information:

  • The job title
  • The main duties of the job
  • Qualifications needed for that job
  • Salary (how much would you earn)
  • 3 steps needed to achieve your dream job (For example: work hard at school, get some relevant work experience, go to university)
  • The role your job plays in society

You should spend 45 minutes to 1 hour on this.
