Year 1 (Home Learning) – Thursday 14th January
Hello Year 1,
We hope you’ve had a hearty breakfast this morning and are feeling ready for another day of Remote Learning!
Miss Simons’ read this book this morning and really enjoyed it – perhaps you could read it, or listen to your adult/the audio read it (as you follow the words)?
Don’t forget to record any reading in your yellow Reading Records, as we are looking forward to dishing out lots of WOW Points when we return to school!
Here is a video explaining how to access this story book via Oxford Owl’s Free eBook Library:

Literacy
Look at this picture of a tree that can be found in the forest:
Who do you think might be living in the tree?
Write down your ideas in a series of sentences.
Make sure that you use capital letters, leave spaces between words and end your sentences with full stops.
Remember … anything can happen in a magical forest!
Maths
Starter
Play a game of The Price is Right with your adult – adults will hopefully remember this game!
Ask your adult to choose a number between 1-20 and write it down somewhere safe.
Now try to guess the number – after each guess, your adult will respond either, ‘higher’ or ‘lower’.
The game continues until you guess the correct number.
Now you can swap places and play again.
