Let’s look at the image. Why is it such a dangerous place? What words does the author use to describe the setting and make it sound dangerous?

Now you are going to become authors and generate some words that make a place feel dangerous. Record your words however you would like to – keep them somewhere safe because you will need them for tomorrow’s activity!

3. Maths

Today you are going to work practically to explore the concept of part-whole models. Work with an adult to make a model and get them to give you a number between 1 and 100 – then you will try to complete the part-whole model using objects (placing the correct amount of ‘tens’ and ‘ones’ in each part/whole). Here are some ideas to get you started:
