Year 4 English task 7th Jan 2021
Using the two parts of the story synopsis – read them both again and using bullet points write a summary of the whole story. Try to make each bullet point one good sentence. Remember a summary looks for key words or phrases without copying lots of the original text.

•Egues wants Hermia to marry Demitrius.
•Demitrius is not interested in Hermia and he likes Helena which makes Lysander furious.
•Egues will declair the Ancient rules of Athens to Hermia to love Demitrius but Hermia wouldnt like.
•Egues travells to the court to set the case of the love between Hermia and Demitrius.
•Egues says that Hermia is his daughter and he should pick who she loves or not.
•After ythe case was recdorded Lysander argued with Demitrius for him to marry the young girl Hermia
•Duke Theseus is about to marry Hippolyta when he mentions to Hermia to listen to his father.
•Hermia and Lysander run away to the woods to make a plan but then Helena approches the woods.
•Helena gets upset that Demitrius no longer loves her.

The magical juice can spread over a humans eyelids to make them fall in love with the first person they wake up and see. Having Demetrius act horrid towards Helena he asks Puck to spread some magical juice on the eye lids of the man being mean to Helena. Lysander happens to see Helena when he wakes up and falls in love with her. Hermia becomes so jealous that she tries to start a fight with Helena.

Egeus wants his daughter Hermia to marry Demetrios. But Hermia wants to marry Lysander. Hermia and Lysander ran away and Helena followed them to comfert them. The first band of fairies including O Oderon he is the king fairy and titania the kings wife and the queen of faires

Be careful not to just copy the text, Rosen. Make sure when writing a summary you use some of your own words. 🙂
Egeus want Hermia to be married to Demetrius but she loves Lysander. Demetrius is decent enough but she’s not interested. Lysander is furious and he has reminded Demetrius of how he was in love with someone else, Helena.
