Reception Home Learning Friday 8th January

Good morning everyone! It is Friday – well done for making it to the end of the week and working so hard at home! We are all very proud of you.

PACKS we have put together some more paper packs for the children, similar to the ones we had during isolation, you are invited to come and collect the packs for your children on MONDAY 11th,  between the times of 1pm and 2pm.

Friday is Rocket word day in phonics, so lets re-visit Mrs Tucker and her Rocket word challenges! Parents – start with Rocket 1 – if the children get them all (which they should by now) go on to Rocket 2 and so on.

Main:

Addition part 2 – we are going to add again today in the same way we did yesterday. Parents this must seem very repeptitive to you, but this is the way we teach in school, we revisit the same thing many times to help the children consolidate their learning.

Mrs Whitestone has a lovely story for us today, about when we all had to stay at home last time…and she has an arty challenge for you, make sure you listen to the end!

Now that we are back online a lot it’s time to think again about internet safety – Children do you remember Smartie The Penguin? We learnt his song, I wonder if you remember it? Before you tap and click, you have to stop and think, and TELL somebody!
