Year 1 (Home Learning) – Thursday 7th January

Hello Year 1,

We are now day three into our home learning journey this term and we hope that you are feeling motivated for your activities today!

FAO: Parents & Carers

A reminder of the expectations of Home Learning:

  • There will be a daily Zoom registration @ 10:40am, during which a member of the Year 1 Team will greet the children and discuss the activities for the day ahead.
  • The expectation is for children to be on the daily Zoom registration and engaging with the set activities on our Year 1 Blog – Phonics, Literacy, Maths and a Curriculum subject.
  • Please email children’s work across to their class teacher at: yearone@lingsprimary.org.uk

Art/Science

Seasonal Art Project

Yesterday, we created a Spring scene using coloured pencils. We thought about what the sky, trees and weather were like in the Spring season – and also, what people wear!

Today, we are going to create a Summer scene using a material of your choice – e.g. paint, crayons, or whatever you have at home! It will be nice to use something bright and colourful!

Think about what the sky, trees and weather are like in this season. What do people wear?

Here are some examples of Summer scenes below …

We are looking forward to seeing your work later today!

Have a super day and keep shining like the stars that you are,

Miss Simons, Mrs Roberts and Mrs Billingham : )

      Hello Aaliyah,
Well done for completing your picture! Don’t worry if you cannot send it to us … keep all of your work safe and you can bring it into school with you whenever we return!
If your adult has a camera phone, they can take a picture and send it us via email at: yearone@lingsprimary.org.uk
      Lovely to hear from you,
