Year 1 (Home Learning) – Friday 27th November

Happy Friday Year 1,

Well done for making it to the end of the week – we have been blown away by your resilience and hard work at home!

Keep up the fabulous work today and make sure you have lots of fun over the weekend!

Here are your activities for the day:

Phonics

Here is a clip of Mrs Tucker showing you how we teach Phonics at Lings:

We teach Phonics in groups in Year 1 – Miss Simons, Mrs Brookes/Mrs Roberts and Mrs Sargent each have a Phonics group.

Ask your child which Phonics group they are in and follow the appropriate planning below.
If you are unsure of which Phonics group they are in, then please email us at: yearone@lingsprimary.org.uk

Literacy

How did Mrs Armitage solve the problem?

Did you have a different idea to her or did you come up with the same solution?

Read the next few pages and find out what happens next to Mrs Armitage

Just look at Mrs Armitage’s bicycle! There are more and more things on there and it is getting harder to pedal. What does she mean that her bike needs ‘extra oomph’? Can you think of a way of helping her to pedal and to add more power to her bike to make her go faster?

Draw and write what you would do to her bicycle her help her.

Remember to use a capital letter and a full stop, 1and leave spaces between words.
