Friday 23rd October

We’ve reached the end of the week and the end of the first half term in Year 4.

It’s a little bit different to how we should be ending the term but we will be back at school before you know it.

Once you’ve got on to the blog, comment to let us know you’re here! Even if it’s just a ‘Hello!’

The TTRS battle with Faraday finishes at 12pm today. The results for the winners of the TTRS battle are on a separate post!

We are launching a new TTRS battle starting tomorrow which is Year 4 girls Vs. Year 4 boys – there will be prizes!

Good luck!!

If you have any questions, just email yearfour@lingsprimary.org.uk

Have a lovely half term and see you all back at school on Tuesday 3rd November.

Here are today’s tasks:

English:

Today you will be using all of your notes to create your own non-chronological report on the Vikings.

You should have lots of notes and a good plan that you created yesterday.

Think about what a non-chronological report looks like – you have looked at several over the last few weeks.

You can use to template below if you are struggling to remember what one looks like.

Maths:

We are finishing off the half term with some Roman numerals.

Watch this video and join in with the tasks that it gives you. You can pause the video if you need more time to work out answers.

Here’s another video for a fun way to remember your Roman Numerals and remind you of the last two days of learning and then complete the worksheet underneath.

Wider Curriculum:

Underneath are some pictures of flowers. Use pencils, felt tips or crayons that you have at home and try and recreate the image. Use the techniques we have practiced in Art so far this year.

Good to hear from you again Rosen, well done with Roman Numerals. You have got some good facts Rosen, can you add anymore interesting facts to each sub-heading? Remember to use your plan and previous work to help you up-level your work.
