Welcome to your first year 5 blog!
This week we have had our first Spanish lesson of the year.
We’ve practised greetings, asking how people are and responding back with our feelings.
We’ve also found out a little bit about Spain and I’ve challenged the children to try to find out some different countries where Spanish is spoken. (If they want to do more research that would be amazing!)
Can you work out why some countries are blue and some are red?

Hi, Spain, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru are speaking countries.
Red is the Spanish army that over took countries.
Blue is the speaking Spanish countries.
Did you know that the national animal of Spain is a bull, because in fights Spain invented that you hold a small cloth and bull comes running towards you and you trick it by moving away and the bull pass?
