Wednesday 1st July 2020 – Writing task
Hello Year 4,
You are going to be writing your letter that you would add in your time capsule. Use your plans from yesterday or look back at yesterday’s blog to help lay out your letter.
Features to be included in your letter:
- an address on the right hand side – use the school address,
- left hand side underneath – Dear…… – who are you writing to?
- use the three headings from your plan to write in paragraphs – use plans to add detail in each paragraph – you may need to go back to the blog from yesterday!
- emotive/ powerful language
- expanded nouns to describe what you would add in your time capsule
- a range of conjunctions – because, if, so, but, however, therefore. – please try and include all.
- ending your letter – sign with your name.

Dear Mrs Denny
I’m talal and I am 9 years old and I live in Northampton and play football with Northampton. My hobbies is playing football and gaming . I am really bored since were always at home hopefully we could get back to school very soon I’m also bored because there is nothing to do. I really like spending time with my family because we have fun we watch funny tv shows and have snacks it every day as well so it makes it even more. fun I enjoy studying on school blog but I enjoy even more at school because we can help each other more so they get better.
That is a very good recount of all of the mixed emotions you have felt during lock down. It is an experience you will never forget. I’m so glad you have been having a lovely time with your family and hopefully we will all be able to see each other again very soon.

I’ m at home during lockdown in Northampton, I am missing school a lot as my friends are at home as well but I can’t go shopping as they’re closed and I can’t leave the house and I get very bored of games and immie as she annoys me at home but I can’t leave her alone so I can’t go school at home.

My favourite food is burgers, pizza, salad and sweet corn. My favourite colours are pink, purple and blue. What I’ve learnt in lockdown. I felt scared, devastated and terrified. The important things that were in the lockdown was don’t touch your face, wash your face and don’t high-five anybody. Hopes and wishes. I hope the lockdown stop. I wish I could see my friends and family members. I wish that I could go outside like I used to.

I am Franek Madej, I am 9 and I go to a fantastic school called “Lings Primary school”.
My favourite colour is black and my favourite games are Roblox, FIFA and Need For Speed.
My hobbies are: Playing football with my friends In the Polish football club and every Saturday we have a match. Playing video-games with my best friend which I see often, and being kind to everyone.
I would put in my games in to see if there will be new looks or other versions
I wish the Coronavirus pandemic was over so I could finally see most of my friends.

Dear future me
At the moment I am 9 years old, I would love to go back to lings primary school and i’m still living in 5 pine ridge. My hobbies are playing with my brother, sometimes playing minecraft with my brother and playing in my garden. My personality is positive, energetic and smart. My favourite games are minecraft and pokemon sword and shield.
I feel worried as I would like to see my friends again.The things I like in lockdown is that I don’t have to go out so I can keep safe also I get to type messages to my friend Cody and I get free time alone I do need peace. I also miss my friends, school and not to be able to go smyths. I learnt to be safe and do social distancing plus to stay at home if it’s not desperate.
I would like to be a professional minecraft player and also a YouTuber and make my own video games.My xbox is very special and my animal books to I can’t let go of my teddy ben my crystal’s that I found in my garden witch was weird and my playmobil modern house. Two wrongs equals a mistake.

The three things that made me happy in lockdown are less work, spending time with family and more holidays. While in lock down I have missed going swimming, going to the movies and going outside. I have learn to stay 2m distance, stay alert, not go outside.
