Our Online Safety post today is on ‘Screen Time & Healthy Balance’. Have a look at the below handout and discuss how we can recognise (from the world around us and from our own bodies) that it is time to put our devices down:
Have a go at the Get creative! activity at the bottom of the page. Children can draw an outline of a body and fill the outline with thoughts and/or feelings that they experience when they have been online for too long – or signs that they are given from their families. Miss Simons knows that it’s time to come offline when her eyes start to go blurry and her hands begin to ache from typing! Have a chat with your family and compare your warning signs.
