Reception Easter Activities

We hope you all enjoyed the sunny weekend and had time to look at the Lings Teachers’ Easter video.

We will not be posting up daily activities through the Easter holidays but if you did not do the ones to date then it would be helpful to do – especially the phonics activities.  It goes without saying that the best way to fill your child’s time is to spend time with them – talking, reading, cooking, going outside, playing games etc. But here’s some ideas for activities that you can do that supports the Early Years Curriculum too.

Letter and number formation  to practise correctly forming letters.

High frequency words (https://www.highfrequencywords.org/hfw100fp.pdf)  – start at the first column and work your way down – these words need to be sight read. You could hide them, copy them and play snap, copy them and play pairs.

Numbers to 1-20 – cut out and use to order and calculate

Simple addition and subtraction
