Hello Year 2,
It’s the end of your first week of home learning. You have shown how mature and resilient you are.
Have a lovely and restful weekend.
Here are today’s learning activities:
English
Look at the picture of the ship (same as yesterday/from your learning pack).
Who would live in is setting? What are they like? What do they look like?
Use your imagination. Can you act out what the character is like?
Write a character description of a character from this setting.
Can you use any adjectives, adverbs or conjunctions in your writing?
Sounds-Write Phonics
Review all previously learnt sounds and reading the following words:

Read the words: Adding the suffix –ment and ness.

Warm up: Wiggle your fingers up high, down low, to the side and in front of you.
Stretch your fingers out like fireworks nine times.
Can you write the following letters joined up? Remember to leave a finger space.

There is 5 in ech groops. There is 4 gowing acros. The tow on the begining are corect the other one’s are increct. The one with 6 shold be 5.
The snaik is 5cm long.

Kaya looked at the maths picture for a while then said “that’s silly, that ones got six and that one has four but they still wrote five. So if you put that dot over there then they all have 5”
