Maths Challenge – How many eggs are in each basket?
There are three baskets – a brown one, a red one and a pink one.
The baskets hold a total of ten eggs all together.
The brown basket has one more egg in it than the red basket.
The red basket has three eggs fewer than the pink basket.

- Use 3 objects as “baskets” and 10 objects as “eggs”. Use these to explore!
- Think about the meaning of the words “more” and “fewer”.
