Lings Primary School Hit the Evening News

Yesterday was a momentous day for Lings Primary School as we were asked to feature in a news story that was broadcast on BBC Look East on BBC One. Throughout the morning Sam Burridge conducted a number of interviews with parents, teachers and students to understand what PE at Lings Primary School looks like and how we value physical education and physical activity. He then filmed a PE lesson taught by Mr Davies and Mrs Davies to understand how our children have come back to school with the desire to learn and be physically active.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all of the year 5 children who featured in the demo lesson yesterday, you were all absolutely amazing, from the moment you were asked to represent the school all the way through to the end of the lesson. You are all shining examples of what pupils at Lings should be.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to two fantastic parents who were chosen to be interviewed. These parents have been excellent examples of how you can support your children at home with the use of the Create Jasmine Active Platform who spoke with great confidence & passion and for that we are so grateful.

Our final thank you must go to two outstanding students who not only represented the school during the lesson filming but also stepped up to the mark when asked to give an interview on camera. This is a difficult task more most adults, however both of these students spoke with confidence, and this is a testament to their fantastic attitudes and willingness to set the standard.
