Friday Challenge – Captain Sir Tom Moore

This week, our family challenge is inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore who sadly passed away this week.

There are 2 challenges:

  1. Produce an object, picture or piece of writing to go in a time capsule about lockdown/2020. These will be buried in a time capsule later in the year once we have returned to some kind of normality.
  2. Do something 100 times, just like Captain Sir Tom. This could involve exercise, drawing or doing something for 100 minutes. Show us what you do!

Below is some information about this inspirational man.

It really is up to you but these are some great ideas!

Could you do a dance move for 100 seconds?

How about times tables up to 100x?

English – could be writing something 100 times?

        Just some ideas! You decide!

    Lockdown 1,
We had to stay home and only go outside once for a walk and for going to a shop because of corona.
I was really happy I didn’t have to go to school for five or six months. We also had to wear masks when going outside.

    Lockdown 2,
In November we had to go back to school but this time with bubbles which means our whole year could only be near us and the same with every year in school. What was even worse was because of this virus Christmas was cancelled to be with all your family together.

    Lockdown 3,
Then schools only allowed people in the school if no one could’ve taken care of them at home. And for the people at home they had to go to a website called zoom which is where you can talk and see each other from different electronics. It’s where they had classes. During corona we could not play any sports in school and outside in a park and the only place you could is at home.

The Day Coronavirus Hit The World !

On March 2020 all of our lives changed there was a new virus also known as CV or Covid 19. It was amazing how the way the world changed, as it was a new year when everything happened all of us thought it would be over quickly we were all wrong. It came to the middle of March when education started to change, all schools where closed we had to learn on the ‘blog’ which we posted all of our work on. Lots of months past bye we were in school again then came another lock down which lasted 1 month and 1 week. CHRISTMAS WAS CANCELLED! Everybody was annoyed then a month later we got through it, right after that new year came that was also cancelled there was now another lockdown which we are still currently we all hope it will be over.

    Covid 19
At the start of 2020 it felt normal but then in March everything changed. We had to go into lockdown because of a virus called Covid 19. We were stuck in our homes. It felt good at first but then it got boring.
But then finally June came and we could go back to school. It did not feel the same , there were bubbles so you could play with anyone else in your bubble. It was just key workers children.
Finally July came, WE COULD BE FREE!!

it all started in 2020, a great virus settled on earth and spread very quickly.some survived most fell in the bloody hands of Corana Virus/ Covid 19. i can only inform you about home and school thoug, i do not want expectations of life at work.
    lockdown 1
in febuary the uk wasnt affected by the virus but italy has so i will fast forward to march . we have been tied to our households, unable o educate ourselves at school. luckily in july we have obtained our much deserved liberty.
    lockdown 2
we started wearing masks which shield the nose and mouth but this did not improve the situation.we also had bubbles [groups] at school and when december came we had an unfortunate christmas as phsyical communication has been cut off.
    lockdown 3
this mayhem continued with schools closed, we predict that they will be open in march but who knows for sure, and only schools willk open the mayhem continues…

    Iveon’s comment

2020 It was a nightmare. We had to wear masks and we needed to go in a bubble when we were in school. We had to do schoolwork at home on ZOOM. It was ok but I like going to school. We could not go out to shops, see our friends or have days out and have fun. We were only able to go out and walk our dog. I am looking forward to getting life back to normal and going on holiday.
