Maths- 60 minutes
Today we are looking at 2 way tables- so the table will have 2 sets of data, one going horizontally and one going vertically.
Remember, pause the video, try all the questions, replay it as much as you need to.
If you have completed the worksheet, and you are feeling confident, have a go at the challenge task.

Task1- Read the text
Lysander and Helena are asleep on the floor of the forest on either side of a tree trunk.
Here is the audio text with an explanation
You need to click download and then click on the speaker and then it should play.
Summarise what is happening- in your own words.
Time to write up the next chunk of our writing.
Last week we had done the following
- Description of Athens
- Egeus speech/ reaction of Hermia
- Hermia and Lysander making their plan to flee the city
- Helena making her decision to tell Demetrius of their plan
- Description of the forest, Puck and the fairy, Oberon and Titania’s fight.
Today we are going to write up- Oberon’s plan for revenge against Titania, Puck fetching the love flower, Demetrius and Helena fighting, Oberon putting it on Titania’s eye (with his spell), Oberon sending Puck to put it on Demetrius, but Puck getting confused and putting it on Lysander. Helena finding Lysander and him falling “in love” with her (because of the potion). Hermia waking up alone and confused.
There’s quite a lot to write, but I am still expecting
similes, fronted adverbials, a range of punctuation, powerful vocabulary, a mix of direct and reported speech.
Because we have so much to cover I think we might need around 150 words this week to make sure we have enough description- don’t just write lots of speech- think about what the characters are feeling, how they might move and speak, what they are doing as they speak- kneeling in a pile of fallen leaves, picking apart a flower, grasping her hand, etc.
Don’t forget to read through what you have already written to check it makes sense, and to make sure your new paragraph flows on.
Here is my paragraph from last week
Just outside the city was a forest. Not far by distance, but another world in every other sense. In this wild wood fairies roamed and magic swirled around in the very air, twirling around the branches, rippling through the leaves. A slim, lithe figure danced through a grove of hemlock trees; twirling and whirling around, playing a tune on a small, wooden pipe as he went. Suddenly he stopped. Aware that he was no longer alone. He noticed another fairy, flittering by the piney leaves of a hemlock tree and collecting the youngest and freshest into a pouch hung by her hip. Looking like a hummingbird hovering over a flower she was entranced by her task.
“Where have you been Peaseblossom?” Puck called out.
The fairy started with surprise, and then fluttered over to him, landing noiselessly on the mossy floor.
“I have wondered round the forest, wondered here and there, wondered up and down, wondered without care.” Peaseblossom replied in a soft voice.
“Well you should have a care tonight. Oberon is coming. And he is displeased with your mistress.” Puck frowned.
Just then with a clap of thunder, Oberon appeared with his royal court of followers, sitting on a throne of oak wood, entrailed with mistletoe. Simultaneously, on the other side of the grove with a tinkle of bells Titania danced into sight, followed by her fairies Mustardseed, Cobweb and Moth. Puck and Peaseblossom each bowed to their master and mistress.
Oberon challenged Titania and demanded that she give him a changeling boy, a human child she had in her care. Oberon desired the boy to be his servant. But Titania laughed at Oberon. She explained that he was the child of one of her followers and she would not give him up.
“Not for all your Kingdom would I give up this child!” Titania laughed, and dismissed her fairies, leading them away into the forest.

Yesterday Captain Tom died. Many people feel he was the British hero of 2020 (as well as already being a WW1 hero!). Create a piece of work to show me about his life. This could be a newspaper report, a letter to him, a diary by him, a biography, a powerpoint or a piece of art work.
Here is a newsreport about his life.
