Hi Year 2

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are ready for our last two days of home learning.

Here are today’s learning activities.

 

English – SPAG

In our SPAG lesson today we are focusing on conjunctions. We are looking at so, but, and, or because.

Read the sentences. There are missing words.

  1. The boy has shoes _________ socks on.
  2. He has a tank _________ not a fish.
  3. It is hot __________ of the sun.
  4. He is cold __________ he wears a coat.
  5. You can have a sandwich __________ a wrap for lunch.

Rewrite the sentences with the appropriate conjunction.

 

English -Writing

Read the following text

‘On a cold December morning, three friends decided to go for a swim in the sea. As they carefully walked into the water, there was massive splash of water made by a strange creature. The mysterious creature wanted the swimmers to follow them. As they dived under the freezing cold water they saw..

 

Write what happens next in the story.

Use expanded nouns and conjunctions in your sentences as well as capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Use your imagination! You are the author!

Then solve the ‘True or False?’ question and the worksheet problems below.

Remember to ‘prove it!’ Give we reasons why. You can draw resources to help you.

    They saw a lot of sea animals like fish and octopus and a sunken ship.

    …they saw a big shell with a beautiful and shiny pearl inside. Three friends asked the creature could they have it. The creature agreed but warned them that pearl shines so strong it can wake everyone up. Friends decided to leave the pearl so it won’t do any problems.

    They saw a crocadiy. He showed them a gold dimend. He said
    it has chosen you. yippy we have got the dimend and they swam home.
