Hi Year 2

I hope you are ready for a fantastic day of home learning.

Here are today’s learning activities.

Read the following text and answer the comprehension questions in full sentences.

Quietly, the window shutters open and in crawls a mysterious creature.
He doesn’t look too friendly at first but we soon see what his plan is.

  1. What does silently mean?
  2. Why do you think the creature ‘crawls’ in?
  3. Can you think of another word to use instead of ‘friendly’?
  4. What do you predict is his plan?

what does silently mean ?I think silently means it doesn’t make any sounds.
why do you think the creature crawls in? I think the creature crawls quietly so not to wake the kids.
can you think of another word to use instead of friendly? another word for friendly might be nice.
what do you predict is his plan? he wants kids dreams to come true.
what is he doing and why? he is sneaking in to help the kids make their dreams come true.
where are they? they are in a orphanage.
how do you know? I know because a lot of lonely children sleep in the room.
