Friday 17th July 2020 – Online safety tasks

Good afternoon Year 4,

This is the last task we will be placing on the blogs! We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your hardwork and adapting so well to home learning over the past few months. Although we won’t be teaching you in September we will still see you around school and we wish you all the best in Year 5! You will be great!

‘Free to Be’ Online
Watch the following video from BBC Own It which is all about owning your online identity and doing the things that you love to do online:
www.bbc.com/ownit/its-personal/spoken-word-pupils?collection=your-online-identity
Answer the following questions:

1. What are the key messages in the video?

2. What did you like/dislike about the video?

3. What did you find out about online identity from the video?

4. If you were in this video, what would you have said about the topic of online  identity?

Discuss your responses to the questions with an adult and add your thoughts to the questions in the comments for this blog.

Have a great summer and see you in September.

Mrs Denny, Mrs Baldry and Miss Bishop.

1.Stay safe, read books, be careful on the internet.
    2. I dislike nothing about the video and like where there a lot of cats with their heads through pieces of bread.
    3. I learnt that if somebody challenges you on the internet you do it if you want.
    4. I would say that: go on a website that has a closed lock on it at the top of the website.
