Welcome back everyone.
We hope you had a nice weekend.
Fingers crossed the weather forecast is the same as last week!
We will be updating the blog with English, Maths and wider curriculum tasks every day at 9am.
Don’t forget, we don’t expect you to be doing school work all day, every day!
It’s important to take regular breaks, get outside and stay healthy (especially if the sun is shining).

This is your reminder to sign up for the summer reading challenge. There will be some different reading opportunities this week to help you with the challenge.

This week we are going to be starting a new story. On some days there will be different things for you to read. Remember this will help you with your Summer Reading Challenge.
Writing:
Mildred was in year one or her first year.
Mildred was good but accidentally broke the rules. Mildred was tall and thin with long plaits. Nearly every night she was writing lines or being kept in (not that there was anywhere to go if you were allowed out.)

Buddhists believe in the cycle of birth life death and rebirth they believe the cycle continues unless they gain enlightenment .They follow the teaching of Siddhartha Gautama also known as the Buddha .
Buddhist worship at home or in a temple called pagos or stupas where they make offerings of candles , flowers ,incense and pure water at a shrine to thank Buddha for his teachings .
They also read from a holy book called a Tripitaka that is written in an ancient Indian language called Pali .
There are 3 symbols of Buddhism
The wheel of life: which represents the life cycle
The lotus flower: which represents purity and divine birth
Buddha : to show he was a special person
The Three Jewels
There are three Buddhist central beliefs. These are known as the three jewels as they are felt to be so precious.
Belief in Buddha
The holy book of Buddhism was is Tripitaka.
The lotus flower and the wheel of are the symbols and the stupa is a place of worshipping for Buddhists
