English – Reading
Read the following letter and predict, in full sentences, who you think the ‘special visitor’ is and why.
English – Writing
Using your ideas sheet and your plan from yesterday, write a letter to your future self about your time away from school.
*please let the children be as independent as possible when writing. If they ask about spellings tell them to say the word and to write all the sounds they can hear.
Sounds – Write Phonics (Add ‘ing’ to a root word that ends with a y)
Review Read the following Year 2 words – half, every, hold, hour, children, gold
Read the words: Raining Chatting Sticking Touching Feeling
Write the words: Sunny Flappy- Clappy- Chatty – Children are to write the correct ending.

Solve the following problem.

Below are quiz style (reasoning) questions for you to answer.
Warm up: Wiggle your fingers up high, down low, to the side and in front of you.
Stretch your fingers out like fireworks thirteen times.
Can you write the following Year 2 Common Exception Words joined up at least six times? Remember to leave a finger space.
Tick your neatest formation and be proud of your handwriting.
