Today, we are going to be reminding ourselves about the word class – determiners.

What can you remember about them?

Some of these may look familiar to you but remember you do not need to remember these names, just remember the key rule of a determiner:

In Hinduism, people worship different deities who are consider Gods and Goddesses of different things. Therefore, different pilgrimages happen. We will focus mainly on a pilgrimage called Kumbh Mela.

Hindu pilgrimage to River Ganges

The River Ganges and the holy city of Varanasi are incredibly important to Hindus. I spent some time there myself, and I saw the importance of the place.

Here are some photos of ceremonies that I saw when I was in Varanasi. These happen every morning and every night.

Can you find out why The Ganges and Varanasi are considered holy places?

Non-SATS activity:

Do something that you really enjoy and that relaxes you.

Some ideas:

  • Watch a favourite film
  • Play a game (maybe a board game)
  • Read a book
  • Bake something
  • Face time a friend from school

Extra task:

Today, do something to care for the natural world.

  • Make a bug hotel/ or safe place
  • Water the plants (especially if it has been hot)

    Hindus and Buddhists believe that the Ganga River is a sacred place, once in there life maybe twice (but it is really rare).They go and cleanse themselves, they say that Ganga -the Goddess of the sun- forgives them and they get closer to each other.Anyone can go at any age!
