Tuesday 12th May 2020 – Writing Plan Task

Hello Year 4, We hope you are ok and staying safe.

Today we are going to plan a first person narrative – a story written from the point of view of a character or object. Here is a link to the video, you can watch it several times and imagine you are writing as if you are the light on a journey.

https://www.literacyshed.com/passingthrough.html#

You need to write notes and use these headings to help structure your writing. REMEMBER YOU ARE THE LIGHT. You can decide where your light has come from.

Start of the journey.

  • How are you feeling? (remember you are the light – I,me, myself) 3 words to describe
  • Fronted adverbial to show start of the journey.
  • Three expanded nouns to describe what you see – try to avoid using colours – really describe the noun.
  • Exclamation sentence  – Starts with how or what… for example, What a wonderful journey this is!

Discovering the landscape.

  • How are you feeling now? (you are still the light -I,me, myself)  Use three different words and phrases to describe.
  • Fronted adverbial, to show your journey has move on.
  • Three expanded nouns to describe what you see on your journey.
  • Command- what do you want to happen?

Travelling further into the landscape.

  • Where are you now? (you are the light – I,me, myself)
  • How are you feeling? Has your mood changed or stayed the same? Why?
  • fronted adverbial to show you are further on in your journey.
  • Can you name the space between you (the light) and the landscape, using suffixes? Think back to the Drama we have done on this. e.g. excitement, (words/ feelings ending with -ness, -tion, -ment, -sion) Create a list of at list of at least 5 suffixes you could use.
  • Statement  – tell us something that is true, that you can see or you know is happening.

End of the Journey.

  • Fronted adverbial to show the journey has ended
  • End your journey with a question.
  • What do you hope or wish for as the light now the journey has ended?( I,me, myself)

Use headings and bullet points to hand write your plan and send a photo to yearfour@lingsprimary.org.uk or use these headings in the comments. Your plan needs to be as detailled as possible so you can write your first person narrative tomorrow.

Look forward to reading your plans soon.

As the morning fell, I was a bright light that would travel’s to different landscapes in the world, I would go very fast to all the landscapes. When I zoomed to land skate to landscapes I felt like a lightning bolt as i was very fast. There are rocky mountains that are as dark as charcoal, going over white snowy mountains that look as beautiful as the horizon and the the icy lake you can play hokey on.

As the day went on, I discovered many more places with my glowing light I saw every thing that was small, it was so amazing that I thought I was in heaven. I saw the smallest thing to the biggest it was amazing I saw the Atlantic. I even saw Africa, I want to be able to see every thing in the world by the end of the day the day can not get any better.

As the sun sets, I reached the Caribbean and the weather is very hot i fell amazed with my self as I nirly have discovered the whole world my mood has changed to exited. As it goes into night time, i finish seeing all the places in the world i can see that by the look of the ocean the tied is coming in

as it became realy dark, i just visorted one more place I wish to descover more places I wonder if I should continue.

Great Brooke, this only needs to be a plan as you are writing the story tomorrow. Maybe you could use this story and add to it tomorrow.

As I woke, the adventure began… I felt annoyed, being left alone and kicked of your terrain. I wondered, “Why???” Sadly I needed to move on, but what could go wrong??? It was not my choice. Appuled. I felt lonley. I dragged myself to the airport. Anger filled me. I bought tickets to Tokyo…
I had no-one!!! I got into boeing 737-800 and slept for around a minute as the engine roar woke me up right away. it turned out I needed TWO planes to get there. I saw beautifully shaped puff and the yellow sky were the highlights of my flight. I did not feel so bad getting kicked to see something for once in reality. It took a day and fourteen hours ad two planes!!! My plan was to travel the whole of the main island of the “Land of the Rising Sun” starting from Tokyo and it’s skyscrapers. Japan is small but rich. Technology and good food are the good things.I saw the red sun of Japan and I felt fear as I came onto the “Tokyo Skytree” (tallest tower in Tokyo) onto the last floor (the roof) and climbed the tower to the 29th floor on an elevator.
I saw towers and towers then more towers. My plan failed but I saw something I could never see. before. Finally home!!

    Plan
    1. Start of the journey
I woke up in a narrow distance in the universe. I saw a little piece of the planet Earth, which filled me with curiosity, so I started my exciting and joyful journey. I was the Light and was able to travel as quickly as a comet. I am feeling fresh and ready to start this adventure.
    2. Discovering the landscape.
I feel impressed with the delightful views of the landscapes. Grass swaying like a grown fur coat. Trees are creating a forest just where I am. Then I move far away and see a massive desert, I feel really surprised by the eternity of these beautiful views.
    3. Travelling further into the landscape.
I am now going above lakes and rivers as there motorways for the Light spirits like me, easy to follow.
I feel like an explorer, learning every second more and more about nature surrounding me. This emotion is overwhelming, the emptiness of noise is so satisfying.
    4. End of the Journey
As quick as a flash, me, as a beam of light striking through the midnight shadows creating little fire specks to give more light to the universe. Stars are shining like metal and I love the smell of the grass. Everywhere I look, every second I am amazed and discover something new, but it’s the end of the journey now, I need to explore new worlds tomorrow. Will they look the same, or will they bring a different experience? It is time to find out. I need to return now back to the Universe and prepare for a new adventure.
