    What Is Pentecost ?
    The Christian festival celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit on the
    disciples of Jesus after his Ascension, held on the seventh Sunday after
    Easter,The Jewish festival of Shavuoth.

    Why Do Christians Celebrate Pentecost ?
    The festival of Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit
    upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in
    Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks. In the Christian tradition, this
    event represents the birth of the early church.

    Why Is Pentecost Celebrated On The Seventh Day ?
    The Christian holy day of Pentecost, which is celebrated fifty days after
    Easter Sunday, commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the
    Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem
    celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles.

    Where did it happen ?
    It happened in Jerusalem.
    Who was involved?
    The Apostles and the followers of Jesus Christ were involved.
    What happens first of all?
    The Apostles were celebrating the festival of Shavuoth.
    What happens next?
    The Holy Spirit descended on them.
    What happens in the end?
    The Apostles founded themselves speaking foreign languages and started preaching to people gathered in Jerusalem.
    What is Pentecost?
    It became a Christian festival, that takes place fifty days after Easter Sunday, when Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit.
    What does it mean to Christians?
    Pentecost is seen as the birthday of the Christian church and the start of the church’s mission to the world.
