The shoemaker only has “just enough leather to make one last pair of shoes.”How do you think the shoemaker is feeling?
Put your ideas into a full sentence and make sure that you explain your ideas using the word, ‘because’.
E.g. The shoemaker felt ___ because ___.
- Maths
WEATHER PERMITTING ACTIVITY:
Fill a cup or bucket full of water and drop it on the pavement in your garden, or outside the front of your house – to make a wet splash on the ground that you can see.
Find lots of the ‘same thing’ (e.g. marbles, 2p coins or toys – it has to be lots of the same thing). How many of your ‘things’ can you fit inside of your splash? What is the volume?
Miss Simons did this activity using 2p coins and the volume of her splash was 35 2p coins.
Please note: The children haven’t been taught the word volume yet and so, will need support to fully understand the concept. Volume can be defined as: the amount of space taken up by an object
- PE – Yoga Poses!
Watch this video of Jamie from Cosmic Kids Yoga showing you some different yoga poses:

You can use some of these ideas to help you get started;
– Unicorn pose

– Worm pose
Take pictures of your yoga poses if you would like to share them with us!

Kornel is an optimist 🙂 His answear to queston “How do you think the shoemaker is feeling?” was:
The shoemaker felt happy because he had enough leather to make one pair of shoes.
If only everybody in the world could be a bit more ‘Kornel’! I miss your optimism and thank you for seeing the positive – this has made me smile!
