Reception Home Learning – Tuesday 21st April

Morning everybody

I hope that everyone was ready to start their home learning yesterday – did you all get up on time?  We have now delivered most of the outstanding resource packs not collected before half term.  If you have not had one, please call the school and let us know when you will be in to deliver it.

Speaking

Ask the children about the story e.g. where did the baby owls live? how did they feel when they work up? what was their mummy doing? what did Sarah do that was kind? how did they feel when she came back? What does silent mean? What does swoop mean?

Phonics

Write the sounds l, t, h, b, k, making sure the letters are tall and start at a top line and sit on the bottom line.

Maths

Warm up – Count up in 10s to 100…10, 20, 30, 40…..100.

Main – Using 10 identical objects find all the numberbonds to 10  – that is pairs of number that total 10.  1 and 9, 2 and 8, 3 and 7 etc.  The children should attempt to write them – if they cannot write the number they can use dots.

Physical

Either do your Joe Wicks workout or..

10 start jumps

20 jumps

30 running on the spots

20 touch your toes

10 press ups
