    a] 20/10=2
    b] 4/10=0.4
    c] 24/10=2.4

    2
a] Three tens, 30/10=3, three ones.
b] Three tens and five ones, 35/10=3.5, three ones and five tenths.
c] I notice that both the answers are in the units and the one in b has tenths
d] When dividing by ten the you move the counters one place to the right.

    3
a] I disagree because you can but by going into decimals so that each person would get one point three of whatever.

    4
a] It works as he splits e.g. 72 into 70 and 2 so that 70/10=7+2/10=0.2=7.2
    b] 50/10=5, 6/10=0.6, 5+0.6=5.6 and 70/10=7, 1/10=0.1, 7+0.1=7.1

    5
    a] 37/10=3.7
    b] 11/10=1.1
    c] 48/10=4.8
    d] 99/10=9.9
    e] 80/10=8
    f] 2.9=29/10
    g] 63/10=6.3
    h] 3.9=39/10

    6
a] No I do not agree with Teddy as 37/10 is not 26 but 3.7
b] You can use it to divide by sliding the counter onto the number underneath. Then add both numbers that were on the red counter and you’ve got the answer.

    A)
    No
    I don’t agree because 37/10 is not 26 it’s 3.7

    B)
Saying it says 47/10 you could find the number 40 and 7 and then slide the 40 down 1 so then it will make 4 and then slide the 7 down 1 to make 0.7 and then it will tell you it will be 4.7

    a) 20/10 = 2
    b) 4/10 = 0.4
    c) 24/10 = 2.4

    2.
    a) 30 is 3 tens
    30/10 = 3 is 3 ones
    b) 35 is 3 tens and 5 ones
    35/10 = 3.5 is 3 ones and 5 tenths
    c) the value after dividing by 10 moves to the right by one place
    d) When dividing by 10, you move the counters by 1 place to the right.

    3.
I do not agree with Rosie, as you can multiply 13 by 10, so 13/10=1.3

    4.
    a) 43/10 = 4.3, so 40/10=4 and 3/10 = 0.3, total is 4.3
    b) 56/10 = 5.6, so 50/10=5 and 6/10=0.6, total is 5.6
    71/10 = 7.1, so 70/10=7 and 1/10=01, total is 7.1

    5.
    a) 37/10=3.7
    b) 11/10=1.1
    c) 48/10=4.8
    d) 99/10=9.9
    e) 80/10=8.0
    f) 2.9=29/10
    g) 63/10=6.3
    h) 3.9=39/10

    6.
    a) I do not agree with Teddy that’s because 37/10=3.7, not 26.
    b) Each line when divided by 10 will show the answer a line below, so for example 300 divided by 10 is 30, 8 divided by 10 is 0.8.

    b. 4 ÷ 10 = 0.4
    c. 24 ÷ 10 = 2.4
    2) a. 30 ÷ 10 = 3
    b. 35 ÷ 10 = 3.5
    c. Both questions have decimal points.
    d. When dividing by 10, you move the counters 1 place to the RIGHT
    3) Do you agree with Rosie? YES, Because you will go into a decimal points as your answer.
    4) a. Dexter is breaking it down smaller.
    b. 1. 56 ÷ 10 = 5.6
    2. 71 ÷ 10 = 7.1
    5) 1. 37 ÷ 10 = 3.7
    2. 11 ÷ 10 = 1.1
    3. 48 ÷ 10 = 4.8
    4. 99 ÷ 10 = 9.9
    5. 80 ÷ 10 = 8
    6. 2.9 = 29 ÷ 10
    7 .63 ÷ 10 = 6.3
    8. 3.9 = 39 ÷ 10
    6) a. Do you agree with Teddy? NO, Because you are supposed to move 1 space to the right but he has moved 1 place to the left. So his answer is wrong.
    b. How can you use a Gattegno chart to divide by 10? Add the numbers together.
