Hint: Remember to try a few different examples for each statement to ensure your decision is accurate.

In the comments box, explain your reasoning behind at least one of the statements.

Science:

Identify some different light sources where you are. Are they natural or artificial?

Using a light source, different objects and a piece of paper or card, see if you can make some shadows. Are you able to change the size or direction of the shadows?

Investigate how shadows are formed and what can cause them to change in size.

In the comments box answer how shadows are formed.

        Ceiling lights, phone, sun, television.

A shadow gets bigger when you get further away from the sun.

You can make a shadow by going in front of a light source

          Natural light source -sun
          Torch – artificial light source

I used a toy Dinosaur, phone and my sister.

Shadows are formed by positioning an object or person in front of a light source.
The further away from the light source the bigger the shadow or you can reduce the shadow by moving it closer to the light source or use the card to change the size by moving it at different angles.
You can block it completely with the card and there is no shadow (I did this with a torch in a dark room)

A shadow is formed by an object blocking the light this creates a patch of darkness called a shadow

    English.
There I was near the bottom of the ocean . I heard the strange sound again, it was like it was calling me and wanting me to find what ever it was ; I had to find it. I was swimming around with my lamp in my right hand . All of a sudden, something dragged me deeper and deeper- a ghost ! At this very moment in time, I still haunt this very ocean in search of someone to come rescue me.

    Maths.
    1. Sometimes because if I do 3+7+4=14 it would be even but if I do 4+7+8=19 which is odd.
2.Always because an even number comes after a odd number.
3.Sometimes because multiples of 5 always end in 5 or 0 not just 5.
    4.Never because if I do 3+5=8 51+9=60 and 3+7=10.
    5.Always because if I do 30+5=35 a multiple of 5.

1.Sun,phone light, light bulb, torch and a glow stick.
2.I was able to change the direction of the shadows because I put the paper in a certain way and it changed the way the shadow is.
3.It changes size depending on how close the light source is to the object.

      Challenge
      1 sometimes because 1×1=1 and 12×12=144
2 sometimes because if you add 0 it is 5
      3 sometimes because 64 has 8 factors but 9
      Has 3
      4. Always 1+2+3=6 2+3+4=9 both divide by 3
5 never dividing it by 2 makes it smaller

I experimented with different types of objects and the shadow went into a different type of form.
A shadow gets bigger when you get further away from that light source.
It gets smaller when you get closer to the light source.
    What ever side the light source is on and there’s an object blocking it there will be a shadow behind the object;
    e.g.
if the sun is behind me the shadow is in front of me but if sun is in front of me the shadow is behind me.

This is my acctal story ending

The sea monster came and tried to smash the boat in to millions of pieces but I did not let him. I swam to the submarine and hoped in I turned it on and put it on max speed and went to the sea monster and I saw a huge red button and on it, it said “DO NOT TOUCH UNLESS YOU ARE IN DANGER !”So I pressed it because I felt like I was in danger and a hatch opened and huge rockets, machine guns, razor blades and lazers came out of it. I pressed a blue button and they all fired at the sea monster and whilst I was still in the submarine I decided to go to the surface. Then I went to my house and I saw my parents worried sick because I was not home for two days straight and because I went missing at night

    Maths Challenge (the 2nd one).
    1.Sometimes because if I times anything by 0 I would get 0.
    2.Sometimes because if I do -2+5=3 it wouldn’t be bigger than 5.
    3.Always because 1 has 1 factor, 4 has 3, 9 has 3 and so on.
4.Always because 7+8+9=24 3+4+5=12 and the answers can be divided by 3.
5.Never because if you are finding half of your answer you are dividing it by 2, so you ae making it smaller.

As I knew I secretly was a mermaid I gathered some information to where the gem was as I swam deep into the ocean I saw a shark I panicked and fainted I didn’t know what was going to happen next.
