Parents and carers

Please could we ask that your child brings in their wallets, all resources and phonics boards, pens and rubbers back to school on Wednesday. If you have used the phonics book please just write their name on it. We will leave a big box for you to put them in and we will put them in the isolation room. We can then replenish and re-use them just incase we close again. Also, please can we have any of their written work to put into their writing and maths books. Thank you.

Did you have a nice weekend? We hope that you did and that you had a good rest, because this week we will go back to school! We have today and Tuesday at home then back to school Wednesday! We cannot wait to see you all back again! Until then though we have some more learning challenges for you to complete!

Phonics

Here is the phonics for children who normally sit on Mrs O’Hagan’s carpet and do phonics with Mrs Whitestone –

I’m really sorry but this phonics is in 3 sections as my son walked in twice! But it’s all one lesson for the children who do not sit on Mrs O’Hagan’s carpet for phonics.

Here are the pictures you can use to tell your silly story! We would LOVE to see videos of this!

When you have told your story, you can write one sentence about someone or something in your story:

Ted is soft. The apple is red. Let the children have a go at sounding out – you might get Ted is sof or sot, or The apl is red. This is fine, the children are using their phonic knowledge to sound out and that is what we want them to do! If you know your child can write more then please do encourage them to write more!
