Thursday 22nd October

Good morning everyone!

Well done to everyone joining in with the home learning.

We need to keep working on TTRS in order for us to win the competition!

Once you’ve got on to the blog, comment to let us know you’re here! Even if it’s just a ‘Hello!’

When you’ve finished the tasks either comment or email us to let us know how you’ve got on.

Any questions, just email yearfour@lingsprimary.org.uk

TTRS Update:

We are still behind in the battle against Faraday. We are getting closer so lets keep going!!

Here are today’s tasks:

English:

Today you are going to be putting your notes into a plan for your non-chronological report on the Vikings.

Remind yourself of the key features of a non-chronological report and begin to think about how you would like to piece it together.

Use the questions and helpful pictures below to help you with your plans.

What title will you have?

What subheadings will you include?

Will you include a picture with a caption?

Will you include some fun facts?

Have you planned to include all of these features?

Maths:

Please keep practicing on TTRS – if you need your login just email!

Today we will be continuing with Roman Numerals.

Remind yourself of the numbers from yesterday.

Click through the PowerPoint and then complete the last task on the last slide in the comments or in an email.

Wider Curriculum:

Today in RE we are going to look at a well known hymn in Christianity.

Watch the video and think about why it is linked to the stories of Noah and Abraham and the charity Barnardo’s.

How does this hymn remind Christians that God wants them to help others?

Good morning Maja, what a great way to start the day with a song. I like the idea of promises. We look forward to seeing your plan today.

    WIDER CURRICULUM:
I really liked the hymn ” When I need an Neighbour ” because it reminds us about how God is teaching us to help each other no matter what colour skin they are, from where they come from and what is their name.
It also reminds us that God travels with us everywhere we go and if we are in need He is there with us to help us get through our difficult parts of life.

Good explanation Maja, I like that you used different conjunctions to expand your sentences and used a variety of punctuation.

Hello Vitalie, Great to see you are accessing the blog.
Make sure you’ve planned a report for tomorrow as well as covering the key features within a report. Tomorrow you will just be writing the report, so the more you plan now the better you will do tomorrow.
Well done with Roman Numerals, it’s good to see you’ve grasped them.

Miss Lindop and Miss Barden 🙂
