Can you explain the mistakes with rounding numbers that have been made below?

Mistake one is wrong because the forgot the thousand

Mistake two is wrong because they rounded to the nearest 10 not hundred

Mistake three is wrong because 5 mean round up but they round rounded down

The answer is 6,400 because 5 can be rounded up.

For mistake 1 He or She has forgotten about the thousands.

For mistake 2 He or She thought he was rounding to the nearest 10.

For mistake 3 He or She has forgotten about the rule if it is 4 or bellow you round down if 5 or above you round up.

the 5 and above only go up

it is mistake 3 because if you round up you will get mistake 3

1) They rounded and then took away 6000.

2) They rounded to the nearest 10.

3) They rounded down.
