Hi Year 4,
This is our final week of blogs before the summer holidays! Thank you for working so hard during lockdown. It has been a strange few months but we made it to the end whether we were in school or working from home.
Today’s reading task is below:
Remember to answer questions in full sentences and in as much detail as you can.
1. What can you see in this setting? Use five expanded noun phrases.
2. How has Petur (the artists) chosen and used colours to create a mood?
3. Who is the person hanging from the clock tower? How did he get there? Who is the person holding him?
4. Why is there a drone in the foreground?
5. Why could the time be important?
6. If this was a scene from the story is it the opening, the problem or the ending of the story? Choose which one and explain why you think that.
1) Shining, gold drone. Strong, hanging boy. Glowing, white moon. Neon, pale London Eye. Giant, standing Big Ben.
2) He has used the colours to make the mood by blending them together.
3) The person hanging could be a spy and they threw him there so he could not disturb him.
4) I think it is there to see if he is still hanging.
5) It could be so no-one can see him.
6) It would be the problem as it is a problem that he is stuck there.

He has used Big Ben as the tower and two children a boy and a girl.

They probably wanted to get a good view of Big Ben.
5. Why could the time be important?
The time is important because If it hits o’clock it will strike and be loud for both of the children that are on top of Big Ben.

The problem because the boy nearly falls.

3.I think its a naughty teenager i think he was practising parkour and a girl is holding him to save him.

2) Pink, purple and blue are dominated colours on the picture. It gives an effect of watching someone’s dream.
3) I think it is a boy. He was trying to escape, but lost his balance. The person who is holding him is his friend.

5) The time shows when the event took place.
6) I think it is a problem, because I see the middle of the action. The opening should explain how the story started and who are the main characters. The ending should explain what happen next and how the story ended.

3. I think that the boy was practicing skydiving and then fell and the girl might be immortal because she is flying.
4. A drone might be capturing the scene so that that it has proof for the future.

6. If it is a problem at the end of a film i think the boy ends up falling and then dies but the woman loves him.

Thinking about how the boy will be feeling and how it will go.
3. Who is the person hanging from the clock tower? How did he get there? Who is the person holding him?
It is a boy who saw someone and followed him. He got there by following the person. He got there then he tripped of then the person that he was following saw him and helped him.
4. Why is there a drone in the foreground?
Someone is looking where the thing is happening.
5. Why could the time be important?
Because the boy could die and some one needs to help him.
6. If this was a scene from the story is it the opening, the problem or the ending of the story? Choose which one and explain why you think that.
The problem because when this is happening more stuff is going to happen with him.

1. I see big Ben, sparkling water, a modern drone, a scared boy and last but not least London’s eye.
2. He used different textures to make it look like it’s dark and colours.
3. That boy could be a 7 year old boy who is scared up there and about to fall down.
4. The drone could be there to save them or something?
5. To know when people could see this and help rescue them.
6. The ending could be happy as in nearly every story there is a happy ending.
