# Year 4 Maths task- Tuesday 9th June

Good morning year 4!

Today, we are going to be practicing dividing 1 and  digit numbers by 10. This will then include a decimal point. To do this, we are going to watch a video on bitesize and there are 2 interactive videos to go with it. You don’t need to send anything in please just comment below to tell us you have completed it!

In addition to this, if you want some extra tasks, please practice your times tables. You can google top marks or go on TTRockstars!

Divide these numbers by 10.
1. a) 4 = 0.4 b) 3 = 0.3 c) 9 = 0.9 d) 6 = 0.6 e) 1 = 0.1 f) 7 = 0.7 g) 2 = 0.2 h) 8 = 0.8.

Divide these numbers by 10.
2. a) 26 =2.6 b) 18 =1.8 c) 42 =4.2 d) 59 =5.9 e) 37 = 3.7 f) 81 =8.1 g) 55 =5.5 h) 87 =8.7.

Work out these calculations.
3. a) 63 ÷ 10 =6.3 b) 98 ÷ 10 =9.8 c) 5 ÷ 10 =0.5 d) 62 ÷ 10 =6.2 e) 59 ÷ 10 = 5.9 f) 77 ÷ 10=7.7
g) 46 ÷ 10 =4.6 h) 15 ÷ 10 = 1.5.

Apply the rule for dividing by 10 to these 3-digit numbers.
4. a) 145 =14.5 b) 186 =1.86 c) 256 =25.6 d) 374 =37.4 e) 598 =59.8 f) 601 = 60.1.

Complete this sentences:

a) When a 1-digit number is divided by 10 move one space to the right.
b) When a 2-digit number is divided by 10 move two spaces to the right.
