Easter/Spring task
Year 4 Spring Poem.
Hi Year 4, hope you are all well? One final piece of writing for this term is to create a poem for an Easter/Spring card.
You need to make sure you include the things you are noticing happening in nature outside the window. Can you comment on the change in the weather? Are there any plants growing in your garden or around where you live? Are the leaves beginning to grow on the trees? What other things happen in the spring? How do you feel now that the days are becoming lighter and warmer?
You can write your poem in any form that you like. You could make an acrostic poem using the first letters of the word Easter or Spring. You could try to write a haiku (a poem of three lines with a set number of syllables in each line – 5 in line one, 7 in line two and 5 in line three) or simply some nice sentences describing this time of year.
Your poem then can be written on the inside of an Easter/Spring themed card of your design. There are loads of websites you can visit for ideas. Just type Easter or spring cards into google and you will find something to help, or simply use your fantastic imaginations.
When you have completed your card and poem take a photo and email it to yearfour@lingsprimary.org.uk and we will upload them to the blog for everyone to see.
Finally, choose someone to send your card to making sure you follow the social distancing rules of course.

The Easter Egg Hunt
There was a little girl called Rosie, who was very posey; she wanted to find a chocolate egg.
Rosie went into the garden and looked underneath a hedge, but found a white easter
bunny; who helped her find some clues for the chocolate easter egg.
The bunny hoped along and Rosie followed, the bunny went through a gate which lead to a
open field. Rosie stared at the most biggest Easter Egg on the floor. She took the egg back to
her house and when she opened it up inside was easter eggs galore.

A cross the countryside,
S pring is a beautiful term.
T rees are growing luscious, emerald leaves,
E at a lot of chocolates,
R emember to brush your teeth.
B utterflies cruising in the sky,
U nbelievable egg art splashing,
N ests being built by busy birds,
N ectar being collected by the bees,
Y oung birds trying to fly from the trees.
